I am a scientist, musician and broadcaster based in Cape Town, South Africa.
My scientific activities take place at the University of Cape Town where I am a research officer at the Holistic Drug Discovery and Development (H3D) Centre. I am interested in developing molecular strategies, such as treatments and tools, to tackle the scourge of infectious disease. I am also passionate about promoting science and improving scientific literacy in South Africa.
My musical interests lie in keyboard, choral, orchestral and chamber music. I direct my own choral ensemble, VOX Cape Town, and regularly present classical music programmes on Fine Music Radio. These include the broadcasts of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s symphony concerts, for which I also share the pre-concert talks.
